Topcon Medical Systems has introduced new OCT mapping software and enhanced its image management system.

The Topcon 3D OCT FastMap, including enhanced analysis protocols, 3D report interface with historical report viewer and connectivity to IMAGEnet, is the next generation of Topcon's TrueMap software. The FastMap software and upgrade package is included in the price of the Topcon 3D OCT-1000 and its warranty.

The EyeRoute Image Management System stores and tracks images, and eliminates the risk of lost images. The first of the new development for the system is the introduction of EyeRoute On Board, which can be loaded on any personal computer to enhance access to the system. EyeRoute Mobile, the second development, allows access to the system from anywhere around the world through any 3G compatible handheld device. An Apple iPhone is supplied as part of the package.

Topcon showcased the new products and features at the meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO).
