Carl Zeiss Meditec has united its sales and marketing activities in Germany in the newly formed subsidiary Carl Zeiss Meditec Vertriebsgesellschaft.
This company will now offer unified management of sales within Germany for diagnosis and treatment systems in ophthalmology and neuro/ENT surgery.
AMO has launched an online series featuring US TV star Kristin Cavallari, to promote LASIK to the 21 to 29-year old market.
The series of eight episodes will document Ms Cavallari's LASIK experience, from initial consultation all the way through to postoperative visits. Filmed in reality TV style, the series will feature confessional moments with Ms Cavallari, in addition to interactions with her family and friends. AMO has stated that the aim of the series is to earn the trust of younger patients and help educate people about the procedure.
The procedure was performed with Advanced CustomVue LASIK and IntraLase and the series is now available online.
