The European Uveitis Patient Association will present an award to Dr Richard Lee, NIHR clinical lecturer in ophthalmology at the University of Bristol at the forthcoming WOC for his recent research paper.

The award will recognise Dr Lee's work as one of the three most significant contributions of the year to clinical research into uveitis. He has focused on why patients respond to treatment with anti-inflammatory steroids can be ineffective. Early identification of these patients may mean that alternative therapies can be proposed, ultimately preserving people’s sight.
