Staar Surgical has revealed that its Visian toric implantable collamer lens (TICL) is unlikely to receive FDA approval in 2007.

Staar Surgical has revealed that its Visian toric implantable collamer lens (TICL) is unlikely to receive FDA approval in 2007.

The FDA has decided that, since the TICL is a first-of-its-kind device, it should be submitted to the Ophthalmic Devices Panel of the Center for Devices and Radiological Health for evaluation.
