Carl C. Awh, MD, FASRS

Carl C. Awh, MD, FASRS is an internationally recognized clinician, surgeon, and educator. He holds 12 U.S. patents for retinal surgical devices and treatments and has designed dozens of instruments in widespread use by vitreoretinal surgeons. He serves on the Executive Committee and is the President of the American Society of Retina Specialists. He is a past member of the board of EURETINA, the European Retina Society. Dr. Awh was inducted as an inaugural member of the Retina Hall of Fame in 2017.



Carl D. Regillo, MD, FACS

Carl D. Regillo, MD, FACS is Chief of the Retina Service at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Regillo is currently Director of the Retina Service and Professor of Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine. Dr. Regillo has authored more than 100 scientific papers, lectured nationally and abroad, and has published five major textbooks in the field. He is a recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Achievement and Senior Achievement Awards in addition to the Secretariat Award.

Parisa Emami-Naeini, MD, MPH

Parisa Emami-Naeini, MD, MPH, is the Director of the Uveitis and Ocular Inflammation Service, and an Assistant Professor at University of California/Davis. Dr. Emami's research interests include retinal imaging, pathogenesis and management of ocular inflammation/uveitis. She is the recipient of the UC Davis Innovative Development Award, 2021, and is a previous Ophthalmology Times Research Scholar Honoree (2017).




Theodore Leng, MD, PhD

Theodore Leng, MD, PhD, is an associate professor of ophthalmology and, by courtesy, of anesthesiology, perioperative, and pain medicine (Adult MSD) at Stanford Hospital and Clinics in California. He is considered to be one of the top 150 worldwide leading innovators in the field of medical and surgical retina and serves the Department of Ophthalmology as both the Director of Clinical and Translational Research and the Director of Ophthalmic Diagnostics.
