The EyeRoute Image Management System, which provides a remote view of a Spectral Domain OCT system, has been introduced by Topcon Medical Systems.

New features of the EyeRoute include dynamic real-time viewing of the B-scan, and pinpoint display of the OCT and its corresponding fundus images; B-scans, digital retinal images and visual fields can also be viewed and manipulated remotely to be compared directly with the 3D OCT images.

The web interface internet link does not require OCT review station software and is compatible with the Topcon 3D OCT-1000 and Heidelberg Spectralis. Topcon is currently developing interfaces that are compatible with Cirrus, Optovue and Zeiss systems.
