Williams joins Topcon Healthcare from Heidelberg Engineering, where she held multiple senior leadership roles.

Topcon Healthcare, Inc. has appointed Krysten Williams as Head of Digital Solutions & Clinical Development – EMEA. The company stated that, in this role, Williams is set to lead the expansion of the company’s digital innovation strategy across Europe, guide development of new solutions that align with the company’s Healthcare from the Eye initiative, and foster a connected care model that uses ocular imaging and artificial intelligence (AI), power ocular imaging or functional data to detect, and manage both ocular and systemic diseases.1

In the press release1 Ali Tafreshi, CEO & President of Topcon Healthcare, shared his thoughts on this appointment, saying, “Krysten is a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who brings deep expertise in imaging, software, and commercialization across the global eye care and digital health landscape. Her ability to translate clinical innovation into scalable solutions will be pivotal as we expand our Healthcare from the Eye ecosystem across Europe and the broader healthcare landscape.”

Williams joins Topcon Healthcare from Heidelberg Engineering, where she held multiple senior leadership roles, including Head of Global Marketing and Education, Head of Product Management and Clinical Affairs, and Managing Director of Heidelberg Engineering Ltd. Her career has focused on empowering eye care professionals to improve patient care by delivering digital healthcare solutions in retail practice, clinic and scientific research.1

The press release1 issued by Topcon also includes a quote from Williams sharing her feelings on this new role. She said, “I’m honored to join Topcon Healthcare at a time of meaningful transformation in digital health. The opportunity to help shape solutions that use the eye to deliver earlier, more personalized care is truly exciting. I look forward to working with the team to drive innovation that benefits both clinicians and patients.”
