Schwind and Zeimer are to cooperate to supply an integrated all-laser LASIK solution.

The partnership will focus on joint marketing of Schwind’s Amaris excimer laser and Zeimer’s Femto LDV femtosecond surgical laser, and the package will be presented through the partners’ existing distributors. As the two companies already share distributors in some markets, Schwind CEO Rolf Schwind told Ophthalmology Times Europe that he believes that it will be easy for the companies to work together.

The marketing alliance is non-exclusive; both companies will continue to market and sell their products independently.
