Optos, the retinal imaging device company, has appointed Thomas W. Butts as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Thomas Butts previously held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer of IDX Systems which was acquired by GE Healthcare for $1.5 billion earlier this year. Prior to that he was President and General Manager of IDX Flowcast and had previously worked for GE Healthcare for 17 years in a number of roles.
