Happy Birthday to us!

Article

This month we are celebrating our first birthday. This time last year we launched the first issue of Ophthalmology Times Europe. I cannot believe it's come round so quickly. Although, when I reflect on how much has been achieved in such a short space of time, I suppose it's surprising that it has only been a year.

This time last year, I was apprehensive. We were about to launch a magazine into the European ophthalmic market and I really wasn't sure how it would be received. It appears that my fears were unnecessary. From the first issue and throughout our first year, we have received such kind comments from many of you and, for that, I would like to thank you so very much. The support that we have received from both doctors and industry figures has been overwhelming. That's not to say that we have rested on our laurels. Over the course of the year, Ophthalmology Times Europe has been listening to what our readers have to say. We have always questioned what it is that you like and what you don't like and the magazine has been constantly evolving to reflect our readers' interests. We will continue to do this in the hope that Ophthalmology Times Europe will, if it hasn't already, become your publication of choice for the latest information and developments that matter to you.

On behalf of the Ophthalmology Times Europe team, I would like to offer you my heartfelt thanks for a wonderful first year. During my time as Editor, I have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people and work with people from all walks of life. It truly has been an incredible experience so far and I am looking forward to the many birthdays to come.
