Fight for Sight has awarded six £15,000 grants to support ophthalmic research in the UK.

Fight for Sight has awarded six £15,000 grants to support ophthalmic research in the UK. These monies will help study in the development of the following areas: earlier detection of glaucoma, improving success of corneal transplants, understanding the causes of inherited retinal disease and informing healthcare provision.

Successful applicants of the grant include doctors from the Glaucoma Research Unit of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the School of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at the University of Cardiff, the Vision and Eye Research Unit of Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, Moorfields Eye Hospital and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.
