Acuvue Oasys, a contact lens designed for astigmatic eyes, has been introduced at the American Optometric Association (AOA) annual meeting by Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care.

The lens is made of senofilcon A, a new generation of silicon hydrogel, and the wetting agent Hydraclear Plus, to reduce feelings of dry and tired eyes. The lens has an Accelerated Stabilization Design, which enables realignment of the lens if blinking causes it to move out of position.
