Vision at all distances
The standard of care is implantation with an IOL, and with the introduction of a new lens to the European market, Dr Hamid and colleagues conducted a small trial to analyse the differences between this new option and other available lenses. Here, he presents his findings.

The standard of care with cataracts has been to remove a patient's clouded lens and provide a new monofocal intraocular lens (IOL). These monofocal lenses are excellent at providing good vision at a single, fixed focal length usually distance. However, patients must still rely on glasses for near and intermediate vision.
