Computer-navigated laser photocoagulation could offer required precision.

Despite its efficacy, the photocoagulation process can be challenging. Repetitive back and forth movements by the surgeon between a FA print-out and the real-time retinal image, coupled with the tendency for most patients to move throughout the procedure, can make accurate targeting of the laser beam difficult.
