A round up of new products

PIOL addition to simulation software

The software update is free to existing customers and contains the whole range of Artisan and Artiflex Iris fixated phakic IOLs.

Final corrections of the PIOL position can be performed by dragging and dropping height, tilt and centration.

Phaco vision system

From Alcon comes the INFINITI Vision System. The new phacoemulsification machine performs customized cataract surgery and uses unparalleled fluidics with 2 energy delivery systems.

This enables surgeons to efficiently tailor each patient's cataract lens removal. The machine features an OZil Torisional Handpiece with side to side, oscillating ultrasonic movement and improving surgeon control. This leads to greater safety and surgical outcomes. The staff-friendly console includes a touchscreen design and a Fluidic Management System (FMS).

Combined tonometer and pachymeter

Canon, the worldwide imaging solutions company, has introduced the TX-20P for the measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP) and central corneal thickness (CCT). The combined Tonometer and Pachymeter gives a more accurate diagnosis of glaucoma at an earlier stage.

The device can automatically align, focus and take multiple measurements simultaneously.

The IOP can be automatically recalculated and the new results are immediately printed out. The TX-20P is compact and features a tilting 5.7 inch colour LCD screen.
