Sterilization containers

Microstop features new filter technology that was developed in conjunction with German research organization the Fraunhofer Institute. Constructed from aluminium, the Microstop includes a filter disc that acts as a sterility barrier. The filter disc separates air current and microorganisms, meaning it is less time-consuming. The instruments can be cleaned in one sieve, thus reducing loading and uploading times for operating room staff.

Viscosurgical formula

The Healon EndoCoat OVD features a smaller, 25-gauge cannula with guard and improved ergonomics. This provides smooth and consistent delivery as well as safety and comfort for both the patient and surgeon.

The formula protects and coats the eye when injected during surgery, and is ideal for intraocular lens (IOL) lubrication and insertion. All Healon products can be used in conjunction with Healon EndoCoat OVD. This includes Healon OVD, Healon GV OVD or Healon5 OVD.

Planar corneal lamellar grafts

The system also consists of a single-use artificial chamber, special inflation tubing and syringe sets, and a turbine-driven Moria CB Microkeratome with control unit. The artificial chamber and the rotating guide ring allow for two cuts in the opposite quadrants of the cornea, meaning grafts are much more planar.

Pressure is constantly maintained in the system due to the presence of inflation tubing and the infusion syringe. The handling and insertion of the ultra-thin grafts is enabled by the Mini Busin Spatula and Forceps.
