Team members of The Surgeless Sultans, The Diffractive Devils, The Chopping Conquerors and The Bursting Buccaneers will be given four minutes to talk about their most challenging cataract/complication cataract case – with a little help from a video…

The design is part of a new style session at this year's World Ophthalmology Congress. Moderated by Dr Amar Agarwal and judged by Stephen Ryan, Gabriele Lang, Gerhard Lang and Bruce Spivey. Each team player will have to demonstrate how they managed their case. There will also be extra time for discussion. The organisers are hoping to have an automatic response system for the audience to participate (a la X factor style) and cast their votes for the best team.

OTEurope can reveal the team line ups, which are correct at the time of going to press but obviously team managers will be reserving the right to make a substitution!
