Topcon Medical Systems has launched a new Colour Balance Tool for its Imagenet digital imaging software.

The tool will allow users to adjust the histogram curves of the individual red, green and blue channels of the retinal images at capture. Once a colour fundus image has been captured, the user can see the effects of adjusting colour balance in a preview before taking additional photographs of the subject's eye, reducing trial and error.

The new tool can also be used in monochrome imaging, such as fluorescence angiography, monochromatic photography and fundus autofluorescence imaging.
