Four new ophthalmic lasers and delivery devices have been unveiled by Lumenis at the meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Two lasers were launched: the Selecta Trio, a single platform laser offering retina, cataract and glaucoma therapies, which features enhanced optics and an advanced laser cavity; and the Selecta Duet, an anterior segment laser offering both YAG and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) technology.

Lumenis also launched two delivery devices. The Novus Spectra Dual-Port, a 2.5 W photocoagulator that utilizes diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) technology, features an active resonator temperature control and is designed to be suitable for both the operating room and in an outpatient setting. The LumeProbe Endo Photocoagulation Laser Probes, designed for treating vitreoretinal indications in the operating room, constitute the final new Lumenis product offering.
