i-Optics has announced the successful closure of its third financing round with an investment of 4.2 million, which will enable the company to launch its first product for 2011 early.
The firm's retinal imaging system designed for screening and early diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, EasyScan, will be released in key European markets early next year. Preparations will also be made for its international expansion into the US and emerging markets later in the year.
